Many of these gold- and silversmiths lived near the “Old Burse” square. Our S-wan guide will teach you all there is to know on the diamond trade and Bruges role in it: Was Bruges the Venice of the North or was Venice the Bruges of the South? Who was Lodewyck van Berquen ? What was the role of Anselmus de Boodt and Juan Luis Vives ? Were the Dukes of Burgundy the most important customers? Discover the answers to these questions by strolling along dazzling places and hearing captivating stories during our one hour tour.
